What Are Cocoa Nibs?

Cocoa nibs are simply roasted cacao beans that have been cracked into small pieces. They are pure, unsweetened chocolate in its most natural form — crunchy, nutty, and full of deep cocoa flavor. We roast, crack, and sort these nibs in-house from the same cocoa beans we use to make our bean-to-bar chocolate.

How to Use Cocoa Nibs

You’ll see both terms used interchangeably— cocoa nibs and cacao nibs. They mean the same thing: small roasted pieces of cocoa beans. “Cacao” often refers to the raw bean, while “cocoa” usually refers to roasted beans. Since our nibs are roasted for flavor, we call them cocoa nibs.
